Altered Literature Project - Little Red Riding Hood

Just finished up this super cool project for class tonight. My group decided to showcase this "altered literature" project using the classic story of Little Red Riding hood. I was charged with creating Granny's Facebook page. One of my group-mates made an Instagram for Little Red, and the other made a Twitter account for her internet stalker, The Wolf. We wanted to take the theme of the project (updating a classic children's tale) and tie it into the discussion of the dangers of social media that permeated the first half of the semester.

UPDATE: FYI. My group won the contest... we each received a $15 gift card. There was some stiff competition, and we came out on top. Needless to say, I know how to "play the game." Teachers/professors love it when you tie things together like this!

My Thoughts Upon Getting Ready to Start my Two Years at MU

Two more days.
Aside from feeling a little sick to my stomach and overwhelmed, I also feel lucky, blessed, privileged, grateful, thankful, and excited.

Today's affirmation

I will breathe. I will think of solutions. I will not let my worry control me. I will not let my stress level break me. I will simply breathe. And it will be okay. Because I don’t quit. – Shayne McClendon

An ear ache... on her birthday

Dancer has a horrible ear ache (most likely an infection from swimming over the weekend) on her birthday today. booooo.

A nap... because staying up till 4 am to be sure my sick birthday girl finished up her psych final and got it submitted was not in my plans.

She has an outer ear infection.  Her doc prescribed drops that include a steroid.  Hoping she heals up soon.  The drops are helping.  She was miserable and now she's not. :)  They gave her a steroid shot at the office and the drops are a mix of steroid and something to work on the infection.

Spring Break

Although I never got all of my work caught up, I'm not focusing on that today... tomorrow classes start again and I'll get into hyper-drive to get it all done before the May deadlines.

It was Spring Break, after all, the purpose of it was to get a bit of a break... WHICH I REALLY NEEDED.
